About DNIC

CONNECTING HEARTS SHAPING MINDS
The dismal scenario which had ensued the Mapila riots of the 1920’s loomed large in the community for over six decades. It was against this black, bleak background that Darunnajath Islamic Center, Karuvarakundu, appeared in the horizon like a silver line, promising hope and light to the community.

The late jb.K.T Manu Musliar, who thought and walked much ahead of his time, turned out to be the chosen soul to re- sript the destiny of a community which was incapacitated beyond measure and rendered weak by countless number of malaises.

The poverty and privation of his fellow men, the presence of an awful lot of orphan and destitute children in the community and, above all , the lamentable lack of educational facilities for this unfortunate lot left jb Manu Musliyar restless and anguished. His deep concern for the protection and education of the un-cared - for children launched Jb. Manu Musliar in to action and subsequently, with the unstinting support of a couple of like- minded persons, a Home for the orphan and destitute children came up in the village of Karuvarakundu in the year 1976 . Though the number of institutions and students under DNIC has multiplied manifold over the years, the prime focus, as exemplified by the founder, has always been on the orphan and destitute children and their upliftment. It must certainly be this dedicated care and attention the orphan and destitute children receive here that help them find placements in coveted position in various capacities both in India and overseas alike.
